About Crumlin Road Gaol

Crumlin Road Gaol is a historic Victorian-era prison which was a working gaol for over 150 years. In that time it saw children as young as ten pass through the gates as inmates. It has housed prisoners through times of severe punishment, world wars, and political conflicts. Sixteen years after its closure, the gaol opened to the public. The Gaol is open 7 days a week with tours running every 30 minutes from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Tours last approximately 70 minutes, and in that time you will be...
